
March brings beautiful spring weather, making it the perfect time for outings and flower viewing. In recent days, parks and gardens across Gaoping City have come alive with the reawakening of plants and the vibrant blooming of flowers, brimming with the vitality of spring. Many residents have stepped out of their homes to admire the flowers, enjoy the scenery, and embrace the lovely spring weather.

Along the banks of the Dan River in the city center, weeping willows are sprouting fresh green shoots, peach blossoms are blooming in brilliant splendor, magnolias are as pure white as snow, and forsythias are radiant in golden yellow—as far as the eye can see, the scene is filled with the warmth of spring. Residents are either exercising in groups to stretch their limbs and breathe in the fresh air, or strolling together, encountering the most beautiful spring scenery amidst the greenery and floral fragrances.
Resident Dong Aixian said, “I practice Tai Chi sword in the park every morning. Recently, the flowers in the park have all bloomed, and the scenery is particularly beautiful—it really lifts my spirits.”


In a pocket park on Jinhua Street, plum blossoms bloom gracefully in the breeze, their crimson petals resembling light touches of rouge, while the delicate pink buds look like the first hues of dawn. As a gentle breeze sweeps by, the fragrance fills the air. Children chase and play amidst the sea of flowers, fully enjoying the beautiful moments nature has bestowed.

“There are more and more pocket parks in Gaoping now; you can enjoy the flowers and scenery right outside your door. The plum blossoms are in full bloom these days, with vibrant colors. Bringing the kids out for a walk and to admire the flowers allows us to connect with nature and relax,” said resident Wu Wenlan.
In recent years, Gaoping City has consistently adhered to the principles of prioritizing ecology and green development, continuously advancing ecological restoration and conservation projects along the Dan River. The city has built more than 20 parks and gardens along the Dan River and a total of 166 “pocket parks” in urban areas and townships. with per capita park green space reaching 15.1 square meters. This has created an ecological landscape characterized by “flowers in three seasons, scenic views year-round, gardens in full bloom, and ever-changing vistas with every step,” allowing residents to step out their doors to greenery and enter parks at every turn, fully enjoying the benefits of a green and eco-friendly environment.
