On April 16, the 2026 “Broadcasting Across China” – China Tour of High-Quality Online Streamers event was held in Jincheng City.
Niu Yibing, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China and President of the China Internet Society; Zhang Biyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department; and Xue Mingyao, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the launch ceremony and delivered speeches. Deng Zhirong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Municipal Publicity Department, was also in attendance.
Starting in Shanxi Province, the event will connect eight provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions—including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Anhui, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Ningxia—organizing top-tier live streamers nationwide to go deep into grassroots communities. Focusing on themes such as the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, the development of new-quality productive forces, and rural revitalization, the initiative will use live-streaming to present a comprehensive and multidimensional view of the vibrant landscape of Chinese-style modernization, guiding netizens to strengthen their cultural confidence, deepen their sense of national identity, and build a shared consensus for progress.
At the launch ceremony, the Cyberspace Administration of China released the list of the first batch of high-quality livestreaming channels (hosts) for 2026 and presented certificates to their representatives. It also announced the launch of the official website for the “Home of High-Quality Online Hosts” — the High-Quality Online Host Cultivation Project. (Yan Nisha, Fan Tianxi)
